Fatal error: …/plugins/wordpress-seo/frontend/

  • I upgraded to WP 3.1.2 and still got the error message. I deleted WP SEO and re-installed WP 3.1.2 and still get the error message, which makes no sense to me. This is preventing my readers from getting the feed in Google, which is what most of them want to use. Any ideas?

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function is_post_type_archive() in /home5/xxxxxxx/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/frontend/class-frontend.php on line 191″ has no items.

  • FTP into your site (or use whatever file management application your host provides) and delete the /wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo folder.

    Great idea, but I just tried it and still get the same error. I’ve looked at every folder to make sure I didn’t miss another instance to delete.
