• Works on 7.4 but not 8.1. 7.4 is very close to being EOL.

Could you provide your SLP version?
See how to find your Plug-in environment using SLP .

We have tested the latest plugin version 5.13.8 with PHP 8.01, WP version 6.0 and it has passed our testing.

To receive updates and report bugs or issues please visit our SLP forums

Version 5.13.8 of SLP. Why are you testing with PHP 8.0.1? That is about 8 months old at this point and has several vulnerabilities (https://www.cvedetails.com/vulnerability-list/vendor_id-74/product_id-128/year-2022/PHP-PHP.html). The current PHP 8.0 version is 8.0.22.

The PHP version number was truncated in my reply. WP version 5.14 will be published with updates. PHP update will be addressed if customers cannot update. The SLP plug-in PHP version was being updated for resisting at the time with the then current PHP version that was compatible according to the WP best practices.
Thank you for your information and we will pass it along to the developers team.

I see 5.14 is released. It still does not work with PHP 8.1. Only 8.0 and below.

The developer has replied to this issue in the following note back to me

We are currently working on known issues. WordPress still does not officially support PHP 8. We develop and test first on the actively supported PHP version before we go back and test compatibility with newer versions; Not all PHP updates are backward or forward compatible so we need to be careful.

P.S. Have you tried this with PHP 8? We have been testing SLP regularly with the PHP 8 environment and have not seen this issue.

    Hello Again,

The developer has put in a lot of due diligence and testing and research concerning the PHP version. ( His News posts here about this) WordPress issued there own reporting. PHP 8.1 is not fully compatible with WP core. They have clarified the requirements side as such “IMPORTANT: WordPress 6.0 has beta support for PHP 8.0 and PHP 8.1. If used some of these versions may get some Warnings.”
Thank you for bringing this to our attention so we can identify to customers the best ways to move forward prior to updating PHP versions
