Latest version crashes the entire site giving out a Fatal Error.

Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 837406720) (tried to allocate 258048 bytes) in /homepages/ … /wp-includes/functions.php on line xxxx

    What is going on?
How much memory the latest version needs to run?

    I have a 2GB memory limit

You should go back to a stable version of the plugin if you are having so many bugs on these new versions, nothing wrong with rolling back. Many companies do that.

    Hi,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Based on the error message you provided, it seems that the issue is related to a lack of memory resources, which is not directly related to the WP Dark Mode plugin. This error message is actually coming from the WordPress core files located in the wp-includes folder.

To better understand the issue, could you please confirm if you are running the latest version of WordPress? It is also important to note that this issue might not be limited to the WP Dark Mode plugin, and you can check if you face similar issues with other plugins as well.

Regarding your question about how much memory the latest version needs to run, it depends on the specific configuration of your website, the number of plugins and theme installed, and the amount of traffic it receives. However, a 2GB memory limit should be sufficient for most small to medium-sized websites.

We understand your frustration and we apologize for any inconvenience caused. We suggest that you try rolling back to a stable version of the plugin if you are experiencing bugs on the latest version. If the issue persists, we recommend contacting your hosting provider to check if they can increase the memory limit for your website.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
