Fatal Error, or Blank login or admin screen

    hello,

    At first I’ve got a blank login screen and wp-admin screen when I first activated the plugin. Later after several delete and re-installs of the plugin now I get this error.

    Fatal error: Can’t use function return value in write context in /home/h36834/public_html/wp-content/plugins/email-subscribers/classes/es-register.php on line 1241

    Hi,
    I finally contacted the hosting and asked them to disable all the plugins and update php. Then I was able to access my wordpress dashboard, to reactivate one by one the plugins and now everything is working fine.
