Fatal Error: options.php failed to open

  • I tried to update to 3.4 by updating through my dashboard on the admin section of the website.
    When I started updating, it stopped abruptly and said that I could not update at this time. I tried to go back to my dashboard in the admin section and it gave me this error:
    Fatal Error: ‘Failed opening required public_html/wp-includes/option.php in public_html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 8’

    Please help and thanks in advance.
