Fatal error on WP 4.6 Update

– try MANUALLY updating. Download a fresh copy of the WordPress .zip file to your computer, unzip it, and use that to copy up all files and folders EXCEPT the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory. You may need to delete the old wp-admin and wp-includes folders and files on your server before uploading the new ones. Please read the Manual Update directions first.
– Backup: If you haven’t already done, always backup everything (including your database) before doing any actions, just in case something really goes wrong. You can never have enough backups!

I don’t know whether this will help to not but I had exactly the same issue, affecting my local dev sites – I wasn’t about to update production sites as yet.

I found the solution, in my case here … https://github.com/ServerPress/ds-cli/issues/3

Turns out I was using the DS CLI option on Desktop Server, which is my local dev environment. The issue may also affect WP CLI – https://wp-cli.org

When I turned this feature off, the problem ceased.

My suggestion is to let the plugin’s author know of the issue, so that they can take action as appropriate ??

So anyone using Different theme from Genesis what can we do, Somebody help? Cant update to latest version of WP and I dot get any reason given. Just a blank page.

Totally blank as to what to do as well!
