  • Same problem on my site, disabled plugin temporary

Same here. Deleted and added plugin again. Same thing happens.

Sorry! I added a new file to the plugin, and it’s really easy to miss adding the file in Subversion when uploading the plugin to the repository.

Version 4.14.1 includes the missing file and works better.

Fabulous – all looking good. Thanks Mikko – and awesome, swift communication.

Thanks for the fastest reply and fix Mikko, it’s working perfect again!

    Awesome!
All working back again, thank you so much for the fast fix!

    All set now, thank you!

No it’s not good. We were trying to update 3 plugins, Relevanssi was second. From 14.13.3.1 to 4.14.1. The update completely failed, we got a timeout from Cloudflare, then RAM usage spiked as hell to 80% and everything got down.

After one hour of trying to figure out if it was your plugin, AAM or WPForo it’s clear that it is your plugin. We cannot even activate 14.1. We just get the timeout all the time. We are able to update it if not enabled but that’s it.

So we are back to 13.3.1 until you fix it…

    Best,
    Karel

Sorry, but there’s currently nothing to fix. As far as I can tell, the plugin is working as it should. I’ve updated it on several sites without issues.

If you can provide further information of what’s causing the problem, I can see what I can do, but right now, as far as I can tell, nothing’s wrong.

Well, we saw the error log and the problem is probably with the allocated space your plugin needs for the query. Our /tmp is limited to 512 MB and our server manager says that he doesn’t really want to increase it, rather to know why the query needs that much space.

I just tried to update it again. And again it completely shut down our processes and website.

I just sent the logs via your contact form, here it is being held for moderation.

And again, going back to the previous version is without any issues.

In Keengamer’s case, the problem is caused by the update trying to do a database modification that takes too much temp space. That’s not a problem most people need to worry about. We’ll take that to email; it’s not related to this thread in general.

Ok, the problem is that we have around 9k posts, just the main database table is 380mb and there are 3.5m rows.

The problem seems to be having a /tmp folder with 512mb space limit. Having 3.5m rows in the Relevanssi table is not a problem, a site of mine with the same size ran the update without any problems (but there the /tmp folder is allocated gigabytes).
