I spoke too soon. I’m adding a new event. Unfortunately, I see no way to add an image in the content. Seems to be an editing problem. Not sure what to do now.

    Hey David,

Same error for me…disabled all plugins, changed theme. WordPress 5.0.3
    PHP 7.0.33

Plugin version is 5.8. Site was down, up-dated to 5.8 but not luck. Only disabling would restore site.

PHP Fatal error: Can’t use function return value in write context in …./plugins/rsvpmaker/gutenberg/src/init.php on line 131

Thanks for your help. Love the plugin.

    Try release 5.8.1

I’ve been struggling to debug this because I can’t get the error to happen on my system. But it looks like I somehow reverted to earlier code where jwurster was reporting the fatal error issue.

No idea whether this has anything to do with his image editing issue.

    Sorry David, no luck.
