• I did a first install of this and immediately received a fatal error on part of the single listing page in the section below the images.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function mb_strlen() in /home/glorybod/public_html/wp-content/plugins/geodirectory/geodirectory-functions/custom_functions.php on line 53

Additionally, there is some javascript issue on the edit listing page in the dashboard that prevents TinyMCE from loading correctly. This issue is only present on GD edit screens, posts and pages work fine.

This is an inherited site that is in development, but I have removed all the plugins except this one and returned to a default WordPress theme (twenty-twelve).

Am considering doing a fresh install of WordPress, but before I do, do you have any thoughts about this?

    Hi Promotheus Fire,

The function mb_strlen() is not enabled by default in PHP, but 99% of hosting providers enables it by default. I guess your is part of the 1%.

Please read the manual for installation details:

    https://www.php.net/manual/en/mbstring.installation.php

As far as TinyMCE issue, we would have to make some tests. WHat plugin are you using for it?

    Thx

I’ve notified my host provider about mb_strlen issue.

When I mentioned TinyMCE, I was referring to the main WP content editor for the post. It doesn’t load correctly on GeoDirectory post-edit screens.

I’ll update this thread after I hear back from my host and test the site again.
