Fatal error on activate

    I am using WP latest version 4.3.1 theme Codeus when I activate SS I get a fatal error.
    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_PAAMAYIM_NEKUDOTAYIM in /home4/aquilleg/public_html/themendipplayersco/wp-content/plugins/stageshow/include/stageshowlib_paypal_gateway.php on line 189

    Any help?

    I’ve installed 5.3.4 from www.remarpro.com, and there does not appear to be any problem with the distribution.

    The error that you are getting is because of an unexpected :: in the php file. This suggests to me that one or more of the source files is corrupted, and I would recommend that you re-install the plugin. You can find instructions how to do this here.

    Update after offline dialogue with qwirkle.

    The problem was not corrupted source code, but the version of PHP on the server. StageShow uses a feature that was only introduced in PHP v5.3, so this version or later version must be installed.
