Fatal Error, no access to control panel

  • Hi!
    I can not access the control panel of my page: https://origamialelamio.altervista.org/

    Fatal error: Call to undefined method TGM_Plugin_Activation::get_instance() in /membri/origamialelamio/wp-content/plugins/virtue-toolkit/class-virtue-toolkit-welcome.php on line 83

    It’s been a few months since I’ve logged in and recently I have not installed updates. I tried to access from different browsers, but no results. What could I do?

  • Hey,
    Sounds like you are using a very old version of the theme but an updated version of plugins? Hard to know that error shouldn’t be possible with a normal setup so it’s also possible that part of your updating failed and files are missing. This doesn’t mean you’ve lost any content just means you need to update the files.

    What you will need though is access to your server. Most hosting offers cpanel access or you can contact the host directly to help. From cpanel you can go to web files and navigate to wp-content/themes/ there remove the virtue theme folder (don’t worry you won’t lose your posts and pages). Once removed you will be able to login and reinstall virtue and all your theme options will re-apper.
