• Hi,

    Since OpeanExtra tried to automatically install a newer version (2.2.6.) our website isn’t functioning anymore.
    I went to the recovery mode and saw, that Ocean Extra had trouble updating and it gave me the following error code:

    Ein Fehler vom Typ?E_ERROR?wurde in der Zeile?180?der Datei?/mnt/web207/a2/78/512141178/htdocs/STRATO-apps/wordpress_01/app/wp-content/plugins/ocean-extra/includes/admin-bar/admin-bar.php?verursacht. Fehlermeldung:?Uncaught Error: Undefined constant "OCEANWP_THEME_VERSION" in /mnt/web207/a2/78/512141178/htdocs/STRATO-apps/wordpress_01/app/wp-content/plugins/ocean-extra/includes/admin-bar/admin-bar.php:180 Stack trace: #0 /mnt/web207/a2/78/512141178/htdocs/STRATO-apps/wordpress_01/app/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(324): Ocean_Admin_Bar->enqueue_css() #1 /mnt/web207/a2/78/512141178/htdocs/STRATO-apps/wordpress_01/app/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(348): WP_Hook->apply_filters() #2 /mnt/web207/a2/78/512141178/htdocs/STRATO-apps/wordpress_01/app/wp-includes/plugin.php(517): WP_Hook->do_action() #3 /mnt/web207/a2/78/512141178/htdocs/STRATO-apps/wordpress_01/app/wp-admin/admin-header.php(118): do_action() #4 /mnt/web207/a2/78/512141178/htdocs/STRATO-apps/wordpress_01/app/wp-admin/plugins.php(621): require_once('...') #5 {main} thrown

    Can anyone please help? Most of the solutions include deactivating the plugin to fix the problem, but the plug in is the theme of our website. So if i deactivate it, the whole website is gone. (just white screen)

    I updated, every other plug in and wordpress to the newest version.

  • Hello @adnantuturan,

    Thank you for reaching out,

    ?We have not received any similar reports so far, and we cannot reproduce that issue on our end.

    It appears that the update was not fully received.

    This error may occur when your server goes down temporarily during the update process, causing connection issues for a few seconds.

    The usual solution is to completely delete the plugin from the wp-content/plugins/ directory and then reinstall it manually or through the WordPress Repository. Do the same for the theme.

    To avoid similar issues in the future, it is advisable to turn off automatic plugin updates in WordPress and manually update them from the WP Dashboard > Update. Additionally, I suggest creating a staging website and updating everything there before updating your production website. This way, you can safely update all themes and plugins on your website.

    Please recheck your issue and keep us posted.

    I hope it helps.
    Best Regards
