Fatal Error Message Whenever I View Newly Downloaded Template

  • Hi, I am new to blogging and wordpress in general. I uploaded two different templates from themes.wordpress.net Sakura and Pure, and I get the same fatal error message everytime I try to preview it after selecting it.

    This is the message I am getting: Fatal error: Call to undefined function: language_attributes() in /home/chrissyh/public_html/shoptalk/wp-content/themes/sakura3-10/header.php on line 2

    The one for the other template is identical.

    Can someone please, help me?

  • I’m guessing that those themes are incompatible with your version of WordPress or don’t play nice with your browser. That’s only a first guess.

    Hmm…maybe I should try upgrading to WordPress 2.2?

    Thanks for anymore input or advice. It’s late now so I will try upgrading tomorrow.

    if you are seing that error in a theme you want to use, yes.

    That particular function was introduced in 2.2
