    Hello,

I rarely post messages on this forum since I’ve been using WordPress for over 7 years but I really need some help on this one!

On WordPress 3.4.2, PHP 5.3, when I try activating any plugin whatsoever in WordPress’ admin, I get a “Fatal error” and no other message. No error logs is created in error_log and I really wonder what’s wrong with that!

    Any ideas ?

    Thanks in advance ??

Try checking your site’s error logs.

What’s the “Fatal Error” full message ?

It just says there was a fatal error which prevented the plugin from activating (in French). No other clue is given. I tried inspecting the HTML in case there was a hidden div somewhere telling more but to no avail….

And as for the error logs, where shall I look for them ? There’s an error_log file in the public_html folder (root folder) but there are just a few lines dating back in 2011.

Thanks for your help guys! ??

    Hi esmi,

I know it sounds weird but there really just is the error message with the fatal error in French. Nothing else is given …

Ask your hosts for access to your error logs. There is no way we can help without more details.
