• Hi WordPress users, I moved to another state this summer and have not even been into my website for months. Now that I am settled I tried to log into the site and got this message — (( Fatal error: Call-time pass-by-reference has been removed in /home/opm/public_html/PrayerBlog/wp-content/plugins/like-button-plugin-for-wordpress/include/fb_meta.php on line 169 ))

    Site address: https://www.onlineprayermeeting.com/PrayerBlog

What does that mean and how do I fix it?
    Help,
    Dale

  • Try manually resetting your plugins (no Dashboard access required). If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, access your server via FTP or SFTP, navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and rename the directory of your currently active theme. This will force the default theme to activate and hopefully rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

It appears to be the “Like Button Plugin for WordPress”. I’d disable this and/or check for an update for this plugin.

Trying to goto your admin page to see if it was just front end error, I was redirect to something completely different. I’d check your .htaccess file via SFTP and look if it’s been modified.
