fatal error message

  • I received this error message when importing posts, settings, etc. from my wordpress.com blog.

    What is this about? How can I transfer remaining posts from wordpress.com to new website on www.remarpro.com?

    Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 42205184) (tried to allocate 11392 bytes) in /home/joann66/public_html/wp-admin/includes/image.php on line 147

  • you or your host need to bump php memory to 48M or higher

    or try this code in your wp-config.php at top
    define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '64M');

    make sure you don’t introduce any spaces or blank lines

    Thanks Samboll but hostgator has already increased to 64M in the php.ini file.

    I resolved this same issue: after brousing for export file, skip the “download attachments” option. All my posts were transferred with images, comments, etc. and in chronological order. YEA!!!
