I just uploaded a new theme to my site, and now I am unable to view the webpage, and I cannot log in to the WordPress Dashboard in order to undo the changes. I am just receiving the following message:

Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘/home/abigael/public_html/wp-content/themes/geode/inc/_shortcodes.inc’ (include_path=’.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /home/abigael/public_html/wp-content/plugins/zilla-shortcodes/zilla-shortcodes.php on line 15

Is there some way that I can access the dashboard or just reset the site to where it was before the new theme? I am not very tech-savvy, so please break things down for me!

    My webpage is careinfoclub.com

  • Your particular issue (looking at your error codes) is that the plugin “Zilla Shortcodes” is trying to access a file which does not exist.

You will need to use either an FTP program; or your hosts cPanel; to gain access to the file directories where you installed WordPress.

Once there, navigate to the “wp-content/plugins/” directory. Look for a folder named “zilla-shortcodes”. You’ll want to rename; or delete this folder.

Doing so should allow you access back into your website.
