    I dealt with this before. Apparently it is a PHP problem. 120 seconds seems like a lot to me, but you could contact your host company, or check this article that helped me fix it.

    I think it might have something to do with the .htacces file…

    I tried to set the permalinks to something other than default, thats when all this happens. When I put it back to default, there is no error.

    Have you checked this Permalink page? It mentions a plugin that will identify what urls your server is using and the re-write rules that wp is using internally.

    Other than the information on that page, this line of trouble-shooting is waaaaaay over my head! Sorry.
