• I had searched the forums for this problem and did find one or two similar issues – however the solutions (changing php code) are a little beyond me at the moment, and my problem seems slightly different.

I use WordPress 3.5 on my site (spiceboxofearth.co.uk) hosted by 123 Reg. I’ve been merrily using a combination of ‘proper’ camera and iPhone shots for a while. Yesterday, I tried to upload some iPhone shots to a new post and got the following error:

Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 72351744) (tried to allocate 4096 bytes) in /websites/123reg/LinuxPackage22/sp/ic/eb/spiceboxofearth.co.uk/public_html/blog/wp-includes/media.php on line 928

Actually, the image *does* upload, but it is HUGE and cannot be assigned as a featured image or easily inserted into a post.

I’ve contacted my host support who tell me I am well within my hosting limits.

This is making me crazy! I can’t update my blog and feel rather stuck. Can anyone offer any advice that doesn’t involve learning php? :/

    Any advice MUCH appreciated!

    Thank you!

    Jenny.
