I have installed this new ver. and now there is no fatal error.
But when I try to checkout I get this error:

PAN_FAILURE – Authorization error: ‘PAN_FAILURE’ – PAYMENT_METHOD_ERROR
ERROR CODE REFERENCES

Please can you guide me further.

Is this due to wordpress update?
Because it was working ok before.

If you are facing the PAN_FAILURE this means there is something wrong with the card and not the plugin itself. Please have a look at this URL from Square for error refrences.
