I’ve just installed the last version of SEOpress

    Version:?7.5
Released on the 28th of February 2024 and it is giving me a fatal error (no dependence).

I’m running a fresh WordPress installation with the plugins:

wp plugin install advanced-custom-fields –activate –force –allow-root
wp plugin install aryo-activity-log –activate –force –allow-root
wp plugin install classic-widgets –activate –force –allow-root
wp plugin install custom-post-type-ui –activate –force –allow-root
wp plugin install disable-json-api –activate –force –allow-root
wp plugin install duplicate-page –activate –force –allow-root
wp plugin install pdfjs-viewer-shortcode –activate –force –allow-root
wp plugin install lazy-blocks –activate –force –allow-root
wp plugin install redirection –activate –force –allow-root
wp plugin install svg-support –activate –force –allow-root
wp plugin install theme-translation-for-polylang –activate –force –allow-root
wp plugin install tinymce-advanced –activate –force –allow-root
wp plugin install what-the-file –activate –force –allow-root
wp plugin install wordpress-importer –activate –force –allow-root
wp plugin install wp-seopress –activate –force –allow-root
wp plugin install wps-hide-login –activate –force –allow-root

    The ERROR

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare seopress_return_settings() (previously declared in /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/ftech/wp-content/plugins/wp-seopress/src/Thirds/MainWP/MainWPFunctions.php:15) in?/Applications/MAMP/htdocs/ftech/wp-content/plugins/wp-seopress/inc/functions/mainwp-functions.php?on line?14

Please, keep me updated with the fix. We’re using seopress in around 30 websites. We can downgrade of course, but we would like to be always on the most secure released version.

    Hi,

we are deeply sorry for this trouble.

We have quickly solved the issue by providing a hotfix.

Please update to version 7.5.0.3 to solve this.

If necessary use a SFTP client then go to wp-content/plugins and delete wp-seopress directory.

Then go back to your WP admin to add again the plugin.

Let us know if it still doesn’t work as expected.

    Thx
