I tried a manual install, and still this version of plugin is causing the error.

While it does not mention yoast in the error, after testing EVERY plugin, this is the one that causes the issue

Older versions do not cause this.

Can you confirm you are running the latest version of WordPress 4.9.7? If not, please update to the latest version.

This issue occurs when the plugin installation or update couldn’t complete correctly. The fatal error is telling you that the plugin couldn’t find one of the cores Yoast SEO plugin files. In this case, can you please reinstall it manually to see if this resolves the issue? You can learn how to update/install the plugin manually here — https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-can-i-update-my-free-plugin/#manual

    Hi @dkaleky,

Unfortunately, without a full copy of the error message, we couldn’t suggest an exact solution. You might want to try to fix it by following this guide.

In addition, please also check if the issue persists when only Yoast SEO is active, the bug could also be caused by an incompatibility with another plugin.

We are looking forward to hearing from you.
