Fatal error CleanTalk plugin 5.127.4

The homepage doesn’t work and the error comes up in CHROME AND SAFARI – although does not come up in FIREFOX which is very strange it’s not in all browers

Please, reinstall the plugin. ( Download link: https://github.com/CleanTalk/wordpress-antispam/releases/download/dev-version/cleantalk-spam-protect.zip )

Here is an instruction for you:

1. Go to WordPress Administrator Panel —> Plugins.
2. Find the plugin “Spam Protection by CleanTalk” —> Deactivate.
3. After the automatic page refreshing find the plugin again “Spam Protection by CleanTalk” —> Delete. Confirm “Yes, delete these files”.
4. Download the plugin archive from the link above.
5. Go to Plugins —> Add New —> Upload Plugin.
6. Choose the downloaded archive and press “Install Now”.

Thanks for sending although it is doing the same thing – we already tried deleting the plugin and I did it again and uploaded your new zip file and the plugin shuts down our website on Chrome + Safari – see error message:

I noticed that when we install the new zip one you sent it already has the activation code and email address associated with the account – not sure if we need to somehow set up a new registration or what but deleting and re-installing didn’t make any difference to the FATAL ERROR

We have checked the code twice. It was a few minor versions ago.

Without Complete deactivation option, old settings will not be deleted.

Try to uninstall the plugin with this option first.

How do I delete with “Complete deactivation option” ??? the only option on the dashboard is “deactive” and “delete” then re-uploading the zip file which I have down twice and it still shows up

I can not quite get, did the last patch help you?

Set ‘Capture buffer‘ to ‘No‘ (Wordrpess Dashboard -> Settings -> Antispam by Cleantalk -> Advanced settings), that is solution of the problem.

Please, note that we have a warning on this option, that it’s not safe. Please, be attentive next time switching options.
