Fatal error: Class 'WP_Filesystem_direct'

  • I’ve just moved a working installing from a test directory into the root directory. I’ve had to update a few links and posts, but everything is fine now apart from I can’t install or delete any plugins.

    When I try I get an error message along the lines of…

    Fatal error: Class 'WP_Filesystem_direct' not found in <path>

    I can only assume that something is still pointing to the old installation directory rather than the new directory, but I’ve no idea what file would need updating?
