Hi, I’ve been fighting this issue for over a week now. This is the full error when visiting my page:

Fatal error: Class ‘W3TC\Config’ not found in /home/—–/public_html/wp-content/plugins/w3-total-cache1/w3-total-cache-api.php on line 577

While in the editor when things act up, this is the error I get:

W3 Total Cache Error: some files appear to be missing or out of place. Please re-install plugin or remove /home/——/public_html/wp-content/advanced-cache.php.

Fatal error: Class ‘W3TC\Config’ not found in /home/——/public_html/wp-content/plugins/w3-total-cache1/w3-total-cache-api.php on line 577

To gain access to my website, I have to go into cpanel and delete the advanced-cache.php file but as soon as I make any change to W3 I get this error again effectively killing my website.

I’ve tried deactivating W3, clearing the cache and enabling again, I’ve completely removed the cache folder in wp-content, and removed everything between # BEGIN W3TC Browser Cache and # END W3TC Page Cache core in my .htaccess file but the issue persists.

I use cloudflare aswell, and two weeks ago around the time I noticed this issue, I changed hosting from hostgator to siteground.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you,

    -Dean

  • I assume you removed the define('WP_CACHE', true); from wp-config.php ?

Hard to pinpoint your issue but usually when i hear this problem its typically is a clash of more than one caching plugin installed. When you have more than one they like to step on each others toes causing chaos.
