  • Hello bradpotts!
You have this error because the international extension for php is not installed on your server. Is it a server of your own? Do you have hand on this server or is this a hosted server?

    Hello bradpotts!
May I help you to install php internationalisation package?
Or have succeeded in doing it – and so, could I consider this issue as closed?

    Thanks.

I’m closing this issue because of its inactivity, don’t hesitate to re-open it if you have still a problem with this package…

    Best regards

    Hello cpnow2!

Sorry to hear you don’t have php internationalization package…
It’s relatively simple to install it if you have hand on the server, which is not the case on shared hosting. I don’t know how is “organized” your hosting provider, so i don’t know how to install this php extension (php5-intl) in your environment. You must probably ask you provider…

(That said, I am very surprised that some hosting providers offer php servers without this extension… which one is it ?)

I am having an issue with getting your Live Weather Station working.

    I have this PHP warning…

Internationalisation extension is not installed. You can not manage OWM stations…

Can you help me? I have tried to install the int package from debian and it says file not found. Here is the code I have run in putty on the debian server.
    sudo apt-get install php5-intl

    Hello MaintainerCB!
Sorry to hear you have a problem ton install php5-intl…

Could you give me the exact message you obtain while executing sudo apt-get install php5-intl? I’m not a debian guru but I will try to help you…

    Pierre

I also have the same issue. I got it to work perfectly on a local wp install but when attempting to add a station to my live site, I get a PHP warning on the Live Weather Stations settings page:

Internationalisation extension is not installed. You can not manage OWM stations…

When I go to the manage stations page and click add, I get this:

Fatal error: Class ‘Locale’ not found

I am connected via an Open Weather Map API key.

    Hi dmcanaveral.
Sorry to hear you have issues while trying the plugin.
As the message says, you must install Internationalisation support to be able to manage OWM stations. As is it specified in the FAQ, this intl support is a requirement…

I didn’t manually install it on my local setup, and my live site has the same files so I’m not sure why it wouldn’t already be installed, but I did a quick search but couldn’t find anything on installing this package. Will you please advise on how to install it?

Of course, could you say me which is your OS?

    I’m using a Mac with OS X 10.11.4

Do you want to say your live server runs under OSX ??????

That’s my operating system. If you’re asking about my server, it’s hosted through LiquidWeb and I do have access to it.

OK. As this extension has to be installed on your server (it’s a php extension), could give me which OS runs this server?
