Working with Avada Theme. Installed AIOC plugin and added first event. After trying to view it, got an error

Fatal error: Class ‘Ai1ec_Api_Abstract’ not found in /home/adopti81/public_html/wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-event-calendar/app/model/api/api-registration.php on line 11

Now unable to edit or create events.

It is also affecting pages, posts and other CPTs (can’t edit or create). Get the same error.

  • Hi @iboudreau,

Can you tell me what version of PHP your host is running, the version of WordPress you are using and the version of our calendar you are running?

    PHP Version 5.6.30

    WP version 4.7.4

    Plugin version 2.5.19

    Hi @iboudreau,

This is very odd. I suggest a manual uninstall and reinstall of our core calendar. Here are the instrucitons:

    – If necessary, backup your current events by scrolling down to the bottom of your calendar and click on the [Subscribe] button, then click on “Add to Timely Calendar” and download the events file (download.ics).
    – Perform a complete back up of your database before proceeding further
    – Delete the file uninstall.php from the plugin directory that is currently on the server (found under /wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-event-calendar). Deleting this file ensures that when you uninstall the current version of the plugin, your event data and calendar settings will be preserved when you delete the plugin (don’t skip this step – it’s important!)
    – Deactivate the All-in-One Event Calendar using your WordPress Dashboard.
    – Delete the All-in-One Event Calendar using your WordPress Dashboard.
    – Database -> wp_options, click option_name to sort and delete everything with ai1ec_, this will delete plugin settings but events will remain in the database.
    – Now install the latest version.

Looks like there was an issue on the server side.

    Appreciate your help.
