    This is line 1241 in /wp-content/plugins/email-subscribers/classes/es-register.php

    $es_templ_thumbnail = (!empty(get_the_post_thumbnail( $post->ID ) ) ) ? get_the_post_thumbnail($post->ID, array('200','200') ) : '<img src="'.ES_URL.'images/es-custom-template.png" />';

    Not sure if this is the fix or not but might be better to use WordPress function has_post_thumbnail() instead?

    Sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused to you.
    We have released a fixed version 3.4.1 which will fix the issue that you are facing.

    Kindly update plugin to version 3.4.1 (if you have downgraded to lower plugin version) or download a latest version from www.remarpro.com, install & activate on your site.

    Let us know your views on the same.

    Thank you for your work on this. I can now see my blog is there but cannot get onto the dashboard to update the plugin or do or see anything at all. It still says fatal error when I try. What do I need to do to get into the dashboard. Thank you very much.

    Hello,

    I’m having the same issues. I cannot view my site or access my dashboard. I’m not skilled with WordPress, and do not know what to do. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. It’s somewhat urgent that I get my site back up and running.

    Thank you,
    Matt

    You will need ftp or cpanel access to delete the folder email-subscribers in the plugins folder. Folder location is typically wp-content/plugins/email-subscribers. Once deleted you will be able to access the wordpress admin and reinstall the plugin.

    I am in my cpanel and see nothing that is helpful in deleting or changing anything on my dashboard. When I go to wp-admin, I still get the Fatal error: Can’t use function return value in write context in /home3/dancin1234/public_html/MyProductiveBackyard.com/wp-content/plugins/email-subscribers/classes/es-register.php on line 1241 error.

    Also, will deleting and reinstalling the email subscribers plugin, will I lose my subscribers?

    Can anyone advise how I can go about “ftp or cpanel access” ?

    If you are using cPanel, you will need to use the file manager to go to the folder and delete it. Depending on your set up it might be public_html/wp-content/plugins/email-subscribers. You will need to navigate to the plugins folder of you wordpress installation and delete the email-subscribers folder. Once you’ve done this, you will be able to access the wordpress admin and reinstall the plugin. You should not lose any settings or subscribers doing this.

    @mattbroadway – if you do not have access to this you may need to contact your hosting company or web designer.

    I’ve never used anything like that. We just have a simple template wordpress blog.

    Will do. Thanks @irocwebs
