You’ll need to replace the edited one on your hosting account server with a fresh, unedited one. You can use an FTP client (like FileZilla), or your web-host’s cPanel or file manager to do this. File manager is easiest if you aren’t familiar with ftp.

Find a copy of it in a freshly-downloaded copy of the theme. Copy the bad one from the server to your computer for reference, delete it from the server, and upload the new one.

Whenever you want to make any changes to your theme, you should make them to a child theme instead. That way you won’t lose your changes when the parent theme gets updated. A child theme is not difficult to make and can save you a lot of trouble in the future.

    Hi Bill,

Thank you for your answer! I am nos familiar with ftp but I don′t have hosting with cPane, mine is with GoDaddy, can I do that with them? Do you know if I can do it logging into my account or they have to do it for me?
I′m sorry to ask basic stuff and making this mistake, I new at this! :/

Don’t worry about the questions (or mistakes!) – that’s why we’re here ??
cPanel is an interface and set of tools that many web hosts provide to their customers for doing many different things (such as the above, or setting up mail addresses, making site backups, etc). I think GoDaddy also offers it but I’m not sure. If not, they will have something similar for you.

Log into your GD account and have a look around. You could ask them about handling this for you but I have no idea what their support policies are. I’m sure they’ll have some kind of File Manager application that you can use to take care of this. Let us know how it goes.
