    Hi,

I’m completely new to all this and was playing around with the templates of twenty eleven, deleting bits of script to see what they do then reinstating them.

I went into the widgets template and deleted the lot. When I clicked update page it came up with this:

Fatal error: Class ‘Twenty_Eleven_Ephemera_Widget’ not found in /homepages/45/d341818684/htdocs/Stratussports.com/new2/wordpress/wp-includes/widgets.php on line 324

I clicked back and pasted the script back in and it still came up with the same message whenever I clicked on anything. Now having closed the page down if I try to go to the login page it just says the same thing.

Thanks in advance, really hope it can be fixed.

  • You’ll have to re-upload a fresh copy of the Twenty Eleven theme. Whilst I would never advise against experimentation, I suggest that you don’t try this on the WordPress default theme for the simple reason that it is the default theme and an unmodified copy may be needed in some circumstances. Make a copy of the theme, rename it and use that as your code playground.

I can’t even log in to my site to change anything, a the moment the only options looks like completely uninstalling it and starting all over again? Also is there a fairly easily understandable reason for this happening? as I don’t want to do it again.

Like Esmi said you will probably only have to re-upload a fresh copy of the Twenty Eleven theme using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

How do I do that without going to the dashboard of the site?
