Fatal error – Can't access dashboard

  • Hi! I recently updated my blog, and it ran okay (very slow, but otherwise ok) for the first couple days, but for some reason I am getting this message when I try accessing my dashboard:

    “Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in D:\Hosting\6603132\html\wp-content\themes\prophoto4\classes\remoteFiles.php on line 45“

    Also, my blog is loading EXTREMELY slowly now, and sometimes only part of the content shows up, especially my fixed sidebar on the right side.

    Help? Suggestions?

  • Just my opinion, but I think you are loading far too many images on your page. Not only is is taking an extremely long time to load, but the viewer has to scroll a lot to see it all.

    Many articles I have read on site optimization recommend limiting the number of http requests as a very important step in managing site load time. Each image uses an http request, so it is not only the size of the images, but also the number.
