• I get this error:
Fatal error: Cannot use string offset as an array in /home/rodude/public_html/vine/wp-admin/includes/dashboard.php on line 46

What happened? I moved my blog… everything worked fine except for the image problem so i had to fix it by downloading the sql, doing a search and replace and then importing it back.

Now, when i click on dashboard, i get that error. Everything else works fine….

I redownloaded wordpress and uploaded that file and nothing.. still the same.

  • Somehow the dashboard widget option got borked. Make absolutely sure you have a backup before trying this.

Login to phpMyAdmin and go to the wp_options table.
    Click “Search”
At the bottom look for the Field called option_name
In the blank text box next to it (under “Value”) type dashboard_widget_options
    Click Go
One row should appear – delete it.

Ok, i could not use the search feature cause it seems my host blocks that Value feature or something, but i did take a look the the table through browse and could not find dashboard_widget_options under the wp_options…

I dont have it listed there…

Odd. This is a common problem and I believe it has been submitted to trac. Hang on for a minute, there is a plugin you can use to accomplish it. I just have to track it down. ??

The other blog i manage that works fine does not also have that dashboard_widget_options under any column/row.

I mean, i checked it under the browse feature and could not find it there… Isnt that the same thing as using the search also anyways…?

Haha, I was just uploading some screen shots to give you a visual but you don’t need them. Glad to see all works!
