• One of my blogs does not appear when I visit the URL and all I get is this error message:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare get_search_phrase() (previously declared in /home/catholic/public_html/papyrophobia/wp-blog-header.php:29) in /home/catholic/public_html/papyrophobia/wp-blog-header.php on line 210

This occurred after I made a post… I did not not any editing to the theme or any other files.

    The URL is https://www.papyrophobia.com

    Thank you,
    m

  • That happened to my blog. If you’re not using the current version of WP, check the header file it mentions, mine was full of spam keywords. Clearly, my blog was compromised and it’s just another giant reminder to upgrade when WP tells you to.

Lesson learned, I’m restoring my site right now and will upgrade when that’s done.

Thanks a lot; that’s exactly right.

How do I find out what that file should actually have in it, and what to take out? I mean, obviously the lines w/ spam words should come out but I don’t want to delete any necessary code.

    Thanks again,
    m

Honestly, I am not techy enough to know but in my Googling I discovered similar hacks and they change a lot of things, not just this file. To be safe, I’m just restoring a backup. Actually, my web host has a more recent back up than I do so I’m waiting for them to get going on it.

In the meantime I’m sure Google is sending my search traffic to spam sites. Gah.

Maybe someone else has an answer for you.
