• Hello everybody!

I uptadted my old WordPress Version from 4.3 to the new 4.5 Version by uploading the files with FileZilla to my server.
Now when I log in into WordPress and want to personalize my website the following error occurs:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class WP_Customize_Nav_Menus_Panel in /var/www/visocial/wp-includes/customize/class-wp-customize-nav-menus-panel.php on line 100

I just don’t know how to fix it. All the required files are on the server and I already tried to update them but nothing works.

I hope someone can help me. Thank you so much!

Try manually resetting your plugins (no Dashboard access required). If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel, navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and rename the directory of your currently active theme. This will force the default theme to activate and hopefully rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).
