Fatal error: Call to undefined method Mixin::initialize()

  • Am getting the following error after upgrading to the latest version of WordPress and NextGen Gallery:

    Fatal error: Call to undefined method Mixin::initialize() in /web/sites/user/1/163/207421/public/www/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/products/photocrati_nextgen/modules/nextgen_basic_gallery/package.module.nextgen_basic_gallery.php on line 414

    I have tried downgrading the gallery as detailed in pervious posts to no avail – have tried disabling all plugins and only activating NextGen but error persists and have tried completely removing the plugin and re-installing via FTP and WP Plugin screen.

    @stevit – The troubleshooting steps you have referenced will generally correct and/or point to conflicts that may cause this to happen … have you tried temporarily switching to a default WordPress Twenty series theme to see if there is something within your current theme causing this issue?
