Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_json_encode() in /home/content/s/t/e/

  • I thought I opened my own thread here about a week ago, following the moderator’s request, but nobody has replied, so I’m trying again.
    I have the above error and I have tried all the suggestions in the similar cases: Dowloading WP and uploading all files except content, renaming plug-in and theme folders.
    Nonetheless, the error will not go away, and I cannot use my dashboard.
    Can someone please help me? I wanted to update my blog this weekend. URL is https://vegandietguy.com

  • So it seems it can’t find wp_json_encode() function. What kind of directory is this /home/content/s/t/e/ ? it should tell you the file and line number of where it is.

    Thank you for asking. I didn’t realize my title had been truncated. The full error message is below:
    Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_json_encode() in /home/content/s/t/e/stereovega/html/wp-admin/includes/misc.php on line 668

    As mentioned, I already tried replacing the file misc.php, as well as renaming plug-ins and theme folders.

    have a look here they seemed to fix it replacing the wp-includes/functions.php file
