• I’ve tried to update my site after a year of not using it. But since the update every page I try to access it says

Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_installing() in /websites/123reg/LinuxPackage21/la/ur/ie/lauriecaumette.co.uk/public_html/wp-content/themes/customizr/core/core-functions.php on line 253

I literally can’t do anything to correct or change this back. I’m not the best at coding, so would it be best to forget this blog and just start over? I can’t see anyway of changing anything because of this.

this might be an issue related to the theme that is installed.
can you access your webhosting account that is connected to this website?

    Hi.,

Error Related to Missing or Damaged Core Files
Try downloading WordPress again, access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel, and delete then replace your copies of everything except the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory with fresh copies from the download. This will effectively replace all of your core files without damaging your content and settings.
Some uploaders tend to be unreliable when overwriting files, so don’t forget to delete the original files before replacing them.

If you want further help I’ll be happy to assist.

    Thanks.,

I can’t access the editor tab, whenever I click on it just flashes up with that same message so I’m not sure how to delete everything… I can literally just access the main admin page but nothing else apart that. Every tab I go on I just get shown that same error message. I can’t see how I’m meant to get round this without some very heavy coding work.. Any way I can do this easily, or possibly get all my content downloaded and backed up?

I’m reading up about that, sounds quite difficult. Currently trying to sort out FTP, I have tried to access my plugins to deactivate them but the same message appears when I click on that too. I don’t understand how everything has crashed so badly, I can’t do anything anymore.

    Laurie:

not sure who is the vendor hosting your website but sometimes if you are having trouble using FTP, you can get to the file manager in the webhosting cPanel to try to manage the situation for themes and plugins.

can you get in touch with someone on the support team for your webhosting vendor?

it may be an issue (partially) resolvable my removing a problem theme or plugin.

I also faced Fatal Error (screenshot) https://image.prntscr.com/image/-hG6dXM2Q3OJhQ8S88-lyw.jpeg and I deactivated the Woocommerce Facebook plugin, and it fixed the problem for me, but this plugin is must-have for me.

It happened after updating the theme today.
