Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_get_the_category()

  • I installed and configured the Medium plugin on my WordPress site, but I am unable to publish any post, everytime when I click Publish, I get the following error:

    “Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_get_the_category() in /home/my_website/public_html/wp-content/plugins/medium-wordpress-plugin-master/lib/medium-admin.php on line 768”

    after which when I go back to WordPress the post is published on my site, but nothing on Medium.
    Can someone help me debug this issue?
