  • I’m having the same error on wordpress 3.6

same problem here on a multi-site install (WP 3.6)

This worked for me: just remove the files/folders:

    – File: /wp-content/advanced-cache.php
    – Folder: /wp-content/cache/

And try again. It will skip the missing function and install the correct files/folder for you.

    Thomas, tx
it’s true. deleting those files and folders solves the problem.
    thank you

    Thank you!

Hi, Sorry this didn’t work for me. I deleted /wp-content/advanced-cache.php but there was no folder /wp-content/cache/ to delete.
I have also tried to uninstall and re-install, then when that failed I used ftp to delete the plug-in completely, then reinstalled and deleted advanced-cache.php and tried again. All produce the same fatal error. Any help is deeply appreciated.

I’m also experiencing this, looking around for some times. I thought the file is in /wp-content/plugins/advanced-cache.php, silly. Also deleted /wp-content/cache/ and it works.

    Thanks for the solution.

Ooops. Was going to the wrong wp-content.

The correct location for those files is /public_html/blog/wp-content.

    I was going to /public_html/blog/wp-content/plugins/w3-total-cache/wp-content.

Deletions on the upper level enabled installation of the add-on.

    Thanks

Double oops. This plug-in just broke the entire site. I can’t even get into admin now. Will have to do a complete restore from backup. Thanks, but no thanks to this addon.

I was directed here from a thread I started about this problem. None of the solutions listed here work.

    Any ideas?

Having the same problem. Any sure shot solution?
