Hello, I have added a new plugin Yoast SEO and after activation I got the following error:
    Fatal error:
Call to undefined function apply_filters_deprecated() in /home/s/(my hosting) /(my site) /public_html/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/admin/menu/class-admin-menu.php on line 246

Then I had to delete plugin in order to enter admin panel… But I don’t whant to use another plugin for SEO. Could you help me to solve this problem?

    Thanks.

  • Hello, I have the same problem! digidip, how were you able to remove Yoast SEO? I do not have access to the admin panel!
    Thanks.

I figured! Access your server via FTP/ SFTP , or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel (consult your hosting provider’s documentation for specifics on these), navigate to /wp-content/plugins/ and delete wordpress-seo plugins.
Then You will receive access to the admin panel. You need to update Word Press and try again to install Yoast SEO.

    Hello,
I removed plagin Yoast SEO from my hosting admin panel. If you have access to your files on your hosting, you have to find plagin there:
    Files manager / “name of your site” / public_html / wp-content / plugins / WordPress-seo

Thank you for information! I’ll try it!

    Hi @digidip

This is a function which is introduced in WordPress 4.6.
We support WordPress two versions back, but as 4.9 has just been released do are currently still completely compatible with 4.6.

Upgrading your WordPress version will resolve this problem.

    I hope this helps!
