    Hi,

    I updated some plugins and checked my theme to find the error;
    Fatal error: Call to undefined function display_slider() in /home/cinemagi/public_html/wp-content/themes/CINE MAGIC/header.php on line 220

    i deactivated many plugins, and the host restored my theme to another to have it working now.
    When i check the theme (live preview); i no longer see the error shown on the theme but I do not see any content below my header (which includes a news slider- it is also blank)

    Would restoring the wp-content folder on the ftp solve the issue? the host has a copy of it.
    Or is there any way i can fix the issue to have the theme running again?

    any help would be great, I have to get the site working on old theme.

    rony

    the link is
    https://www.cinemagics.com
    it is working on its present theme (mastero) this was done by web host so that the page is displayed.

    however, the old theme needs to be restored, the webhost has given me two option;
    1) retore complete database to an earlier date when it was working
    2) retore only wp-content

    third option is to somehow fix this, i honestly do not know. Everyone i ask says function of a plugin was incorporated into the theme and it may be over written.
    do you want the header.php file ?

    or could be please suggest me the best option

    go to your header and remove that function on line 220.

    or comment it.

    as this function is not defined.

    would restore of complete dB would solve the issue ?
    as the function needs to be there and i got a old copy of header (before plugin update) it is exactly the same.

    You can delete old theme and install fresh theme again. Hope this helps

    Hi,

    thank you noor-e-alam; I got the site working by removing the theme causing the problem and replacing it with an older one from the developer. But now I got a new problem;
    the calendar is not showing up,
    I have the calendar plugins; wp-cat2calendar, even deactiviting or activating it making no difference.
    Any help; i also had replaced the plugin folders to older version (from developer); but i scared to replace them again. Do you guys need any more information or files to solve/ understand the problem.
    The calendar used to be part of the footer; no error is also shown.
