Fatal error: Call to a member function getAttribute()

    After freshly installed I got always this error:
    Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to a member function getAttribute() on null in /wp-content/plugins/email-before-download/includes/class-email-before-download-form.php:39

    The solution was to change the quotation marks in the shortcode from ” to ” .
    So my shortecode before:
    [email-download download_id=”1” contact_form_id=”2”]
    and after:
    [email-download download_id="1" contact_form_id="2"]
