I have received this message following the installation of a different theme. I tried to delete it and received the same message. I don’t know if it is because of the theme, or a plugin (I only moved to .org yesterday so have installed quite a lot of plug ins and themes within the last 15 hours, however all was fine until 2 hours ago).

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare optionsframework_init() (previously declared in /var/sites/b/bigtroubleinlittlenappies.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/options-framework/options-framework.php:32) in /var/sites/b/bigtroubleinlittlenappies.com/public_html/wp-content/themes/hathor/admin/options-framework.php on line 57

I am now unable to even log in to remove any themes or plugins, can anyone help at all? Very worried.

    Thank you.

  • You’ll need to use FTP or Cpanel to find that theme and delete it from your site files on the server – here:

    wp-content
       themes
            hathor - delete this folder

Thanks a lot for reply. Control panel on my computer? I can’t see any access to wp-content from it and have no idea how I would use FTP. Sorry – can you be more specific for a very un-technical blogger please?

My worry is I can’t log in to Wp admin to delete the folder.
    Thanks again.

Yep, I know you cannot login :).

    See:

You’ll need to get FTP info from your host – it’s not part of WP, but a way to access files on a server. Not hard to do – just a bit more new stuff to learn.

Some hosts also offer a file manager – again, you will need access info from them and how to access your site files.

Thank you so much and for bearing with me! Will check my cpanel on my host site now and be back ??

thanks so much for your help – my host removed it directly and it is now working again.

Sorry for duplicate post – I got in a panic as I couldn’t tell if it was a plugin or a theme issue and if that would affect who could help and didn’t realise I shouldn’t post in two sections, though that of course makes sense. Lesson learnt ??

Do you know if it is likely that the theme had a software bug or something then? I just want to check if it’s something I did, to try and avoid for the future!

No worries, I know it’s a bit confusing when you’re brand new. It’s hard to say what causes that kind of problem – themes and plugins can have conflicts that you may not know about until they occur. In general, stick with themes from this site or themes from known reliable sources with good support from the developers.
