Fatal Error and site has gone

Reverse your changes to wp-settings.php. Never, ever, edit core files.

@esmi – how do I solve the “Briefly unavailable for scheduled maintenance. Check back in a minute” problem then?

FTP into your site (or whatever file management application your host provides) & delete the .maintenance file in the site’s root folder.

I was attempting to install a Blog Stats plugin and received a Fatal Error message. I am not able to get back to the site.

The error message is: Fatal error: Call to undefined function screen_icon() in D:\hosting\10523580\html\wp-content\plugins\wp-post-stats\post-stats-options.php on line 148

Is there away to recover the site and fix this?
