    Hello,

We have problem with EWWW Image Optimizer. We are getting this error with the ajax request to admin-ajax.php when we want to select a file and the media library (from an article):

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 92725 bytes) in /var/www/vhosts/xxxxxx.com/httpdocs/wordpress/wp-includes/functions.php on line 2680

We do not have access to the media library by the classic way (from the menu). The page is blank.

We have to disable the plugin…

Do you know how to fix it ? We have only 199 images…

Yeah, find the plugin that is generating images dynamically during the ajax request, and disable it, or raise your memory limit to 256MB. EWWW never does anything unless another plugin or WordPress itself asks it too. In the cases you’re describing, it sounds like another plugin is trying to do something fancy on those pages and dynamically resizes images while viewing the Media Library (and related pages).

    Hi,

    Thanks for your anwser.

Is there know problems with W3 Total Cache?

Not any “known” problems, but way back there were reports of some folks that had trouble with EWWW & W3TC, but the errors usually disappeared after a while. I use it on my sites and have had no trouble at all, but it is likely that W3TC uses a lot of memory, it’s a pretty comprehensive plugin with lots of functionality.

I would definitely try to check the error logs on the server (ask your webhost if you don’t have direct access to those).
