All my websites crashed after an update of shortpixel-image-optimiser plugin (I was naive enough to enable automatic update). It seems that there is a problem with the locale de_DE_formal. For now I have to delete the plugin everywhere via FTP.

    Hi @steeeg,

Could you please reinstall the plugin manually and let me know if it works?

    Thank you,

    Hello @sixaxis,

thank you for looking into this!

Yes, reinstalling does work. Very strange – somethings going wrong while auto-updating?

But it’s still not a solution as it’s like shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted. The update of the plugin causes the website to crash with a fatal error.

We have installed your plugin on almost all of our sites and did enable auto-update.

    Hi there!

Sometimes, with certain hosting providers, the automatic updates are not done correctly and some issues appear. Uninstalling and reinstalling is actually a good solution, because it restores everything to how it should be. Don’t worry, the previous fatal error is not carried ??

    Have a nice day!
