  • I got the same error and I fixed by just removing then re-installing the plugin..

    Then I got a nasty surprise in the shape of a banner in the admin page..

    This time I fix it by just removing this plugin for good..

    Look around, there are better SEO plugins out there..

    I hope this help..

    @samisraeli
    We apologize for any inconvenience. Can you please confirm if updating the plugin to Yoast SEO 12.6.2 resolves the issue? If not, you may try reinstalling the plugin.

    @burt65
    We apologize. We removed the banner completely in version 12.6.2 which we released on Black Friday, the 29th of November.

    Our CEO also tweeted a heartfelt public apology which you can find at https://twitter.com/MariekeRakt/status/1200077958700044290.
    We promise we’ll do better in the future.
