    Sorry about that, this is fixed in the 1.2.1 version so you must have snuck the update in right before we fixed it — if you can send over FTP credentials to [email protected], we can get you fixed up ??

    @beka Rice: Sorry but that’s not cool and really goes too far. Accessing a user’s system like this makes you responsible for that user’s system. If you make changes and something breaks later on as a result, then it is your fault.

    Get information, ask for log data, have the user contact you & seek copies of the PHP files. Look but don’t touch. If your code is the problem, then produce a fix and post it here. If the theme or another plugin is at fault, then inform the user, suggest a fix, offer to contact the other developer and/or update your FAQ.

    But do not try to make changes to the user’s files in this way. That’s really going too far outside of your area of responsibility.

    @esmi – Beka is on our support team and the [email protected] emails come to us. Just trying to help the user get the issue fixed up since the 1.2 release had a bug that may require FTP credentials to fix. sorry for the confusion ??

    Even if Beka had been listed as the plugin’s author, I would still have posted the same response. Please do not ask for FTP access or try to make changes to the user’s files. This is something that the WPORG Support team have already highlighted as an area of significant concern.

    @esmi – understood, thanks for the heads up.

    I should also have added that this should not be seen as any kind of criticism of yourself, Beka or any member of your support team. I thoroughly endorse your obvious willingness to support your users but logging into someone else’s site via FTP to make changes is taking plugin support just that bit too far. What you choose to arrange privately with your users is none of my concern but requesting this level of access to another site is not something that we are comfortable with on these forums.

    @esmi – yep, I hear what you’re saying ??
