  • I am also getting this “Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function wp_doing_cron()” after updating the plugin yesterday. I had to rename the plugin temporarily so my site would come back up. In a search for this error, I’m seeing websites online that probably don’t realize their site is down and showing only this error.

    I’m sorry to hear that!

Right off the bat we seem to replicate this but we’re checking into it.

    • Have either of you made changes to how cron runs within your WP site (through changes to your wp-config.php file, by adding cron-related plugins or anything else like that)?
    • Are you in a position to verify if this still occurs with no other plugins but ours and only a default theme running?

    Thanks ??

Circling back: is it possible you are on an earlier version of WordPress and can you update if so? We believe this problem may occur if WP has not been updated.

One more update here: if you cannot update WordPress, please update to the latest version of The Events Calendar (and/or Event Tickets if applicable) — either approach ought to solve this.

Our apologies for the disruption … we really appreciate you flagging this and sticking with us while we looked into this.

Glad that worked and our apologies for the disruption this issue caused.
