  • I updated to WP 4.3 on Thursday. When I did, I shut my site down. Nothing was displaying correctly. I disabled all of my plugins and one by one started enabling them. Google Calendar Events became the culprit. When enabled AND in the widget side bar, it shuts down the display of my homepage. When enabled and NOT in the widget bar, site works fine.

I host through BlueHost. I had read through what seems like a similar issue with GoDaddy hosting, but I don’t host with GoDaddy. Have you encountered this problem? What am I missing?

    Same issue here

Fatal error: Call to undefined method DateTime::setTimestamp()

    class-gce-feed.php on line 125

rest of site failed to load.

Also on php 5.2 and not possible to update.

    Hi,
I had the same issue, but in my case, upgrading PHP to version 5.5 solved the problem.

Also getting this error and GoDaddy only allow users to use PHP 5.2, 5.3 or 5.4.

Is there any way of switching back to a previous version of Google Calendar Events?

My site is also Hosted at godaddy. I had a small problem with my theme and I hoped updateing this plugin fixed the problem. Instead it made it worse.

    Any update on this?

I am getting the same error. I am also on GoDaddy and am using PHP 5.0 what versions are others using that are allowing this plugin and others to work successfully. I don’t want to uperade PHP and have everything else break.

I updated PHP at GoDaddy to 5.3 and everything is working now. 5.3 is the version GoDaddy recommends right now so I was a version or 2 behind.

Thanks for patience on this, later today I will try to make a fix with a fallback for people still using 5.2, so it should be compatible with both versions of PHP

mind though that some future release currently in the works (not sure when it will be out) will use 5.3 code and it won’t be possible to support 5.2 – so you might use this time to find a way to update – when it will be out anyway it will be made clear that 5.2 is unsupported; apologies that something slipped out in the previous release, it was unintentional

you can download a previous version here

    Hi,
Thanks for the update! I will give it a go in the next few days.

I had to revert to an earlier version in the short term, to keep the site up.

    Many thanks,
    Shaun ??
